We sailed the Leewards from the end of July to the end of August
sailing back to Tahiti twice. Once from Huahine and the other from
Bora Bora. Both of those were hard sails with the wind on our nose
and the swell beating into us the whole way. I kept thinking of the
saying "gentlemen don't sail to weather." Della Shea, a great heart
currently attending Reed College in Portland, Oregon joined Moxie's
crew the last of July and sailed with us to Moorea, Huahine and then
back to Tahiti before departing the middle of August when we were
joined by my wife, Debra, our son Austin, and Tim and Shannon
Benes. They were on the boat for two weeks and we sailed to Moorea
and Bora Bora.
